When Lenny discovers that his friend Max and Faith are lovers, and that Max killed Philo, Lenny and Max fight, culminating with Lenny throwing Max off the balcony to his death. Meanwhile, on the crowded streets celebrating below, Mace subdues the officers that killed Jeriko One but other officers take down Mace. The police commissioner arrives and orders Mace's release and to arrest Steckler and Engelman.
