SQUID
Superconducting Quantum Interference Device. Technology that records experiences directly from the wearer's cerebral cortex, and when played back through a MiniDisc-like device called a deck, allowing the user to experience the recorder's actual experience. Originally developed for the Feds to replace the body wire, and now it's gone black market. When recording, the receptor rig worn on the head sends a signal to the recorder. It's called being wired, but there's no wire.
