Sarah's husband Norman receives notification that he has been selected to represent the American electorate be the sole voter in the upcoming presidential election. 4 November 3 No Year Events November 3 The government makes its official announcement that the Multivac computer has selected Norman Muller in Bloomington, Indiana as the sole voter to represent the American electorate in the presidential election. The Muller house is sealed off and surrounded by Secret Service agents. Newspapers are not delivered and TVs are disconnected. No family members are allowed to leave. 5 November 4 No Year Events November 4 Election Day. Secret Service agents transport Norman Muller, the sole voter to represent the American electorate in the presidential election, in an armored car to a hospital, where he speaks with the Multivac computer, answering a variety of questions, which Multivac will evaluate and determine the winner of the election.
