Amy's journal entry: "For Valentine's Day, I thought I'd buy a gun. That is how crazy I've become. Nick wants me gone, but he won't ask for a divorce. In his mind, I'm the owner of his bar, his only line of credit. The bitch with the prenup. I could go home to my parents, but I'd have to tell them the truth. And I don't even know if I believe the truth. Can I really think Nick wouldn't hurt me? I'm being paranoid. Crazy. It's just I'd sleep better with a gun."
