Fat Tuesday. In the original timeline, on February 28, 2006: After killing Claire Kuchever, Carroll Oerstadt blows up the ferry Senator Alvin T. Stumpf, carrying hundreds of U.S. Navy sailors and their families across the Mississippi River from their base to the city. In the revised timeline, Doug Carlin travels back in time from March 4th, arriving inside Charity Hospital a couple hours before the bombing. He commandeers an ambulance and drives straight to Oerstadt's property, just in time to save Claire.
