While digging through books and documents in a Hotel Coronado storage room in 1971, Richard Collier finds a book of correspondence containing a letter from hotel manager E.S. Babcock to Elise McKenna dated October 6, 1896, informing her that he is looking forward to her arrival. His letter is in response to a letter from her dated September 30.
