The Sanctuary
The sliders land on the island of Saint Cataline, on the edge of the northern sea, site of a sort of monastery called the Sanctuary, inhabited by a community of self-described keepers of peace and harmony that have been living simple lives since the collapse of the government known as the Hemispheric Alliance, in a world where a gang called the Volsangs are pretty much in charge.
