Assembly of the Oracle
The sliders encounter a religious group called the Assembly of the Oracle, centered around a seer that believes life here is just to prepare you for life on the next world. The faithful will be gathered up on the Day of Accounting. In the meantime though, they incinerate people while claiming to send them to the next world. Also known as "Followers of the way".
