Sunday. According to his friends Tom Dellerton and Neil Finchley, John returns to L.A. with them after their trip to San Diego. In their sworn statement to police, they tell police that John was with them in San Diego on the night of the 31st when one of the murders took place. They were playing in a basketball tournament for medical students. Seven of them went down on Friday night and came back Sunday. They stayed at the Highland Inn. The day of the week is wrong - September 1, 1988 was a Thursday, not a Sunday. Most likely a production error. |
